The Kew Arms

The Kew Arms is located on Lefferts Boulevard at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue. It is one of two dozen or so apartment houses that went up in the area during the 1920's and 30's. Until then, Kew Gardens had been an enclave of exclusive private homes. The new homeowners (who had purchased their houses at upscale prices) were not pleased to see the suburban character of their community change.
