Home of Frederick Treybold

In the community's early days, its homes were often featured in newspaper and magazine advertisements for various products. The top picture was used in an advertisement for tudor stone roofs which appeared in the May 1923 issue of House and Gardens Magazine. It shows the home of banker, Frederick Treybold, located at the corner of Audley and Grenfell Streets. The house is still there today, mostly unchanged, and mostly hidden by the abundant greenery that has become a defining characteristic of Kew Gardens.
