At 82nd Avenue

This is the corner of 82nd Avenue and Queens Boulevard across from today's Borough Hall.  The top picture shows the rebuilt Opper's Road House alongside a dirt road that would later become Queens Boulevard. By the time the second picture was taken 6 years later, apartment buildings had already begun to appear along this section of Queens Boulevard.  The Kew Bolmer Apartments at Kew Gardens Road and Union Turnpike can be seen in the distance.
