Maple Hill Park

North of old Maple Grove Cemetery was the Maple Hill Farm owned by Timothy Jackson. It was purchased by August Müller who made it into Maple Hill Park - the Park's main attraction being no fewer than 7 saloons. Müller had a house on today's Kew Gardens Road and 83rd Avenue which he operated as one of the saloons. The Park had a beer garden and picnic grounds which drew Sunday visitors from New York City.
