"Information concerning the Richmond Hill Golf Club pictured [here] is rather scarce, but it is known that it existed about thirty-five years ago between Metropolitan Avenue and Abingdon Road. Nathaniel Vickers, a ninety-three-year-old architect who still plays golf, was one of the members of the club. He says there were nine holes on the old course, which was later divided up by the Man estate.

Lawrence Bangert, Sr., tells us that his brothers caddied for the members, which included Alrick H. Man and Frederick Youngs.

Many members belonged to the club who did not play golf but liked the rather exclusive atmosphere."
