Two viewers have emailed me to point out that not all Kew Gardens primary school students attended PS 99. One of them writes:
"Those of us who lived south of Metropolitan Avenue went to PS 90, on 108th just north of Jamaica Avenue. It was a wonderful school with extremely dedicated teachers. One 6th grade teacher, Mr. Zimler, was a legend in the NYC schoool system. His classes produced the highest test scores in the city year after year. There were lots of Kew Gardens kids there - over 1,250 families on the 83-00 block of 118th street alone!"
